We are currently preparing building regulations and detailed construction drawings for the erection of a new contemporary designed 5 storey block of 20 flats in Stratford, East London.
The site has now been cleared and foundation works are due to start in June this year.
Having prepared all of the construction drawings and worked with the client throughout the construction phase, we are pleased to announce the completion of the Brownhill Road development in Lewisham, South East London. The building is looking great and has been finished to a high standard.
The developer has pre-sold all of the houses off plan and the site will hopefully be occupied by the end of spring this year.
We have now received two planning permissions to redevelop a former industrial premises for residential use in Redhill, Surrey. The first permission is for the new build development of 12 flats. The scheme was initially refused by the council but after appealing the decision, we successfully argued for the Planning Inspectorate to grant planning consent.
The second permission is for the erection of 6 new four bedroom houses on the site. This was approved first time by the Local Planning Authority.
Work is due to start on the scheme later this year.
One of our Architectural Assistants, Sayed Sharestani, has enrolled on a course to complete his Part 3 RIBA Architect qualification. Sayed is studying at evenings and weekends at the prestigious Bartlett School of Architecture at UCL and is hoping to become a fully qualified Chartered Architect in around 12 months time once he has taken his final exams.
We wish Sayed luck in his studies and will try to make sure we don’t give him too much work during the day to keep him away from his evening studies!
We had yet another fantastic afternoon and evening celebrating Christmas before our office closed down for the festive break. The team went to the swanky Madison roof bar with amazing views of St Paul’s cathedral for some drinks and then on to Jamie Oliver’s new restaurant, Barbecoa, in the City.
Some excellent food followed and then some not quite so excellent dancing after that in some of the nearby bars!
We have received planning permission for a new build scheme to redevelop an old warehouse site in Thornton Heath, Croydon, with 9 new build houses. The scheme combines a mix of traditional and modern styles and was given approval at the first attempt by the council.
We have now been instructed to start the construction and building regulations drawings and will hopefully be on site to start the building work in early summer 2017.
Ideal Planning & Design have received planning permission for six new semi detached and detached houses in Oxted, Surrey. The scheme is sympathetically traditional in design to harmonise with the surrounding buildings.
We are now working on the construction drawings and the project will be starting on site within the next few months.
We are pleased to have Pawel Bednarczyk joining the firm as a Senior Architectural Technologist. Pawel is a member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists and has nearly ten years of experience including construction detailing, building regulations and on site management. He has worked on many residential projects throughout the years and his expertise will be invaluable to the company.
We look forward to working with Pawel and the experience that he brings to the company.
We have now received planning permission for the redevelopment of a dilapidated workshop, office and garage in Wimbledon, South West London. The scheme included the conversion and refurbishment of the office block into four large 2 bedroom flats, erection of a new large 5 bedroom house to the front of the site and a 3 bedroom detached house to the rear.
The project is programmed to start on site before the end of the year.
Ideal Planning & Design have recently submitted a planning application for the demolition of an existing detached house in Surrey and replacement with a large contemporary home spread over 7000sqft of floor space. The planning application follows extensive discussions with Reigate and Banstead Council and consultation with neighbouring property owners. The new building will provide the private client with a high specification modernist house with landscaped grounds.
