We have received planning permission for a new build scheme to redevelop an old warehouse site in Thornton Heath, Croydon, with 9 new build houses. The scheme combines a mix of traditional and modern styles and was given approval at the first attempt by the council.
We have now been instructed to start the construction and building regulations drawings and will hopefully be on site to start the building work in early summer 2017.
Ideal Planning & Design have received planning permission for six new semi detached and detached houses in Oxted, Surrey. The scheme is sympathetically traditional in design to harmonise with the surrounding buildings.
We are now working on the construction drawings and the project will be starting on site within the next few months.

We have now received planning permission for the redevelopment of a dilapidated workshop, office and garage in Wimbledon, South West London. The scheme included the conversion and refurbishment of the office block into four large 2 bedroom flats, erection of a new large 5 bedroom house to the front of the site and a 3 bedroom detached house to the rear.
The project is programmed to start on site before the end of the year.
Ideal Planning & Design have recently submitted a planning application for the demolition of an existing detached house in Surrey and replacement with a large contemporary home spread over 7000sqft of floor space. The planning application follows extensive discussions with Reigate and Banstead Council and consultation with neighbouring property owners. The new building will provide the private client with a high specification modernist house with landscaped grounds.
We have just finished on-site project management of a complete refurbishment of a large house in Battersea, South West London with a contract value of over £1 million. The scheme includes a new basement, side return and rear extensions.
Ideal Planning & Design had previously obtained planning permission for the development, and had prepared a full set of working drawings for the project.

The scheme provides a large amount of new housing in an infill plot of land on the edge of the town, the perfect location to increase the local housing stock.

The development almost doubled the size of the property and added a new kitchen, dining room and bedroom.

Luis Nieves has started employment with us as our new Architectural Designer and Technician.
Luis has worked in architectural practice for nearly 10 years. His experience covers a broad spectrum of project sectors, scales and budgets. He has spent time working with an architectural charity providing practical solutions in war, disaster & poverty zones around the world. Subsequently, he worked with award winning architectural design firms and private developers designing, managing and delivering bespoke residential, commercial and health care / spa projects. He brings a rare combination of artistic, innovative creativeness with a thorough and practical technical knowledge to help realise those designs. Luis has a degree in Architecture and Urban Design and is RIBA Part 1.

We have just submitted a planning application for the conversion of a large 10 storey office block into 170 flats
The large office site in Hounslow has been struggling to find tenants for a number of years and the building owner has been looking for a way to maximise the value of the property. Working alongside the client and the council, we have designed a scheme to convert the space into 170 1, 2 and 3 bed flats. The development has been carefully designed to make the most of the existing space and create units with excellent natural light and outlook. The application follows substantial negotiation with the Local Planning Authority who are fully on board with the scheme.
We expect a decision to be made within the next 2 to 3 months.
